CNEC Mission

Clovis North Educational Center's mission is “To build a unified campus that inspires students to maximize their performance in mind, body and spirit.” All resources at our site - both human and physical - are selected, cultivated, and deployed with a laser-focus to ensure that our students learn and achieve excellence. Thus, our schoolwide learner outcomes address the whole student.

Code of the North

Live each day with courage. Take pride in your work.

Do what has to be done.

When you make a promise, keep it. Talk less and say more.

Make a difference.

Take care of one another. Together, we are better.

Leave it better than you found it.

Character counts, even when no one is looking.

Clovis North’s vision and educational beliefs stem from the district’s core values, which are based on the educational philosophy of CUSD’s first superintendent, Dr. Floyd Buchanan, who charged each school to provide “a fair break for every kid” and to value “people, not programs.” We strive to build a unified campus that inspires ALL students to maximize their performance in mind, body, and spirit. Every day, we do our best to provide students with a rigorous, relevant, and standards-based curriculum that spurs them to develop and use critical thinking and problem-solving skills and to communicate their learning creatively and effectively.  We also strive to build a community in which all students feel connected and are celebrated for their unique contributions to our school.  To this end, we teach and model the “Code of the North” as a way of building good character in our students.
